And, He Is . . . Mine

By default, sometimes I catch myself thinking about

the "would of's" and "should of's",
the "what if's" and the "neverminds",
the "I'm so _____" and the "Uggh's".

Our circumstances can never change who He is.
When we magnify them as greater than He,
we impose limits on His plans
and remain subject to our fears.
How different our difficult moments can become
if we rested on the knowledge of who He Is
rather than dwell on how we feel.

May we put our hope in the Lord
in, through, over and around every situation,
so that we may rise beyond our circumstances
to experience His glory, power and peace.
