Love Is Born

In December we take out time from our every day hustle and bustle
to honor and celebrate the birth of love.

Not a man-made, counterfeit, common, everyday kind of love...

No, His love was, and continues to be, none like anyone had ever seen before, or since.

We had created love in our own image, a love we wanted and desired.

The Love we celebrate during the Christmas season is a love
that completely transforms our ideas of love.

Our love is manifested when others reciprocate it,
His love is manifested when others don't.

Our love is demonstrated to those who deserve it,
His love is demonstrated to those who don't.

Our love is needy, His love fulfills

Our love is broken, His love is whole.

Our love needs healing, His love heals.

Our love is conditional, His love is not.

Our love is a choice,

He is LOVE.

So, this Christmas, what do I want?  What do I need?

I want Love.  I need Him.

The One I need to give away and the One I want to receive...

Where can I unwrap this gift?

At the foot of the cross.

"This is how much God loved the world; He gave his Son, His one and only Son.
And, this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him,
anyone can have a whole and lasting life"
John 3:16 MSG
